This petite Lunar Pearl ring in sterling silver features a small cup-shaped design in a textured silver finish. The centre of the design is hand-enamelled in Sheila’s ‘Mill Sands’ enamel colourway and then hand-set with a pearl. The cup-like design measures approximately 10mm wide and sits on a 2mm band.
Lunar Pearl is inspired by the ancient art of our ancestors. Thousands of years ago at the Ness of Brodgar in Orkney, people carved hollows or cup-marks of various sizes in rough rock, perhaps to signify an event or to follow the passage of time as the moon waxed and waned. Sheila’s designs are textured like the surface of rock, enamelled in a variety of colourways, and hand-set with an enchanting pearl.
